Process Steps

Step 1

The importer must submit the application form accompanied by the prescribed fee and environmental impact assessment report and other information as  may be prescribed 

Step 2

The Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock then reviews the application 

Step 3

 The Director shall within 60 days of receiving the application, reject the application if the application does not meet
the requirements of this Act and shall notify the applicant stating the reasons for the rejection. 

Step 4

If the applicant is not satisfied with the Directors decision, the applicant is free to appeal to the Minister, subject to a further appeal to the High Court within thirty days of receiving the notification.

Step 5

The  Director shall within 30 days of receiving the application, issue the Aquaculture Licence, subject to any condition specified in the law
