Note:

Import should be for purposes that are not detrimental to the survival of the species.
The proposed recipient of a living specimen should be suitably equipped to house and care for the specimen.
In the case of any specimen of species in Column I of the First Schedule of Statutory Instrument No. 61 0f 2007, the specimen concerned should not to be used primarily for commercial purposes.

Process Steps

Step 1	The applicant collects an application form.
Step 2	The applicant pays the application fee, completes and submits the application form along with the supporting documents.
Step 3	Submitted documents are reviewed by the Department of National Parks and Wildlife (Management Directorate).
Step 4	The applicant is then instructed to pay the processing fee if the application is approved.
Step 5	The applicant then pays the permit processing fees and is issued with a receipt, which is submitted to the Department of National Parks and Wildlife (Management Directorate).
Step 6	The Department of National Parks and Wildlife (Management Directorate) verifies the payment and issues the permit.
Step 7	The applicant proceeds to collect the permit.
