NOTE:
- The trader must pay royalties and duties within two weeks of exporting.
- The trader must be a registered holder of a mining licence, mineral trading permit or a gemstone sale permit, with a legal source of the mineral.

Process Steps
Step 1
|
The Applicant submits a sample/s with mineral analysis & valuation certificate and export permit application forms and pays ZMW 525.
|
Step 2
|
The Geological Survey Department then receives the application and sample and conducts analysis.
|
Step 3
|
The Geological Survey Department then issues the Mineral Analysis Certificate report and a Valuation Certificate. |
Step 4 |
The Geological Survey Department then forwards the Mineral Analysis Certificate report and Valuation Certificate to ZRA.

Step 5 |
ZRA reviews the documents received from the Geological Survey Department and checks whether or not the respective applicant has been paying the relevant taxes and royalties. |
Step 6 |
Mineral royalty clearance is then issued by ZRA and forwarded to the Director of Mines (Mines and Minerals Department). |
Step 7 |
The applicant then proceeds to pay ZMW 225 application fee at the Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development or designated bank if he/she has been compliant with the law.

Step 8 |
The Director of Mines (Mines and Minerals Department) then proceeds to prepare the export permit. |
Step 9 |
The applicant proceeds to collect the export permit. |
